The Trinity and the Christian Life Lecture 4

These lectures from the 1999 Tabor College Intensive in Adelaide, Australia give a sweeping and inspiring, yet very practical vision of the relationship between the Father, Son and Spirit and the human race. Dr. Kruger begins with the great dance of life shared by the Father, Son and Spirit and interprets creation, the fall of Adam, the beginning of redemption in Israel and the incarnate work of Christ in the light of the eternal purpose of God for our adoption. This is beautiful theology. The ongoing Q & A makes you feel that you are present and your own questions are being answered. (Lectures 1-4 of this series are available here. Home (Revisited) Lecture 4

The human heart longs for meaning and purpose. We are not made to live for ourselves. Meaninglessness is too great a burden to bear. But why are we here and what is our life about? In this series Dr. Kruger sets forward the fact that we are all included in the Triune life of God and this inclusion is the source of our longing. We are not here by accident. We are not the product of random processes that just happened to lead to our existence. We are here by plan and purpose of the Triune God. The deepest longing of our hearts is to be known by the Father himself, and not just known but loved and cherished and appreciated. There is no human happiness until we see ourselves so loved and cherished and indeed ‘appreciated’ by the Father himself. And that is who we truly are. This series is simple, powerful and inspiring.

The Great Dance: The Christian Vision Revisited 4

The original lectures delivered before the book. Dr. Kruger charts a course from the beautiful Trinitarian life of God to the incarnation of the Son and the union of humanity with the Triune God in Jesus Christ. In the light of the relationship Jesus has established between the life he lives with his Father and Spirit and the human race, Baxter interprets our human existence here and now and nothing short of our participation in the Trinitarian life itself. You will see yourself and your “ordinary” human existence in a breathtaking light. Dr. Kruger also address the question, “If we are included in the life of the Trinity, why are our lives such a mess?”

Lectures: (1) The Trinity and the Logic of the Universe, (2) The Great Dance Extended, (3) The River Running Through it All, (4) Legends in Our Own Minds.

You Are the Child The Father Always Wanted 5

A compelling and liberating series by Dr. Kruger on the Father’s heart, our adoption in Christ and our true identity and calling as the sons and daughters the Father has always wanted. Here Baxter revisits Jesus’ parable of the Father and his two sons and then takes us through a study of Ephesians 1:3-5 to help us experience the Father’s eternal love for us.
